Our summer reading Make Waves Luau was a success! WOW! 18 students completed the reading requirements and were invited to enjoy the Luau on Thursday July 22. It was a celebration and a fun Time! We started the program with a Luau meal. We did the Limbo, learned the Hula and tried the hoola hoop hula, played bingo for prizes and had a great time!

Teen programs will begin again this fall. Watch for more information on upcoming events.

A 4TEENS Calendar will be available in September. The Teen Advisory Board will have openings for the new school year 2010-2011. If you are in 6-12^th grade and are interested in serving on the board please pick up a TAB application at the Children’s Room Desk. Questions please call Laurie in Youth Services at 325-7010.

Teen Advisory Board

We will have our first Teen Advisory Board Meeting on October 7th Thursday at 3:30pm in the program room of Monroe Public Library. All students in 6th through 12th grade are invited to fill out a Teen Advisory Board application available at the youth services desk in September. The application is only for those wanting to be on the teen board. The teen programs starting in October need no registration. Students just sign in when they come to the Monroe Public Library at 3:30pm on the Teen Thursdays.
