The staff of the Monroe Public Library are pleased to offer a variety of services to the public. In addition to the services noted above, the library provides the following computer services:
Public Access Computers
The library offers provides computers for use by adults, teens, and children. Adults and teens use the computers on the first floor for a maximum of two hours.
Children use computers in the 2nd floor children’s department for a maximum of half an hour.
All computers have Microsoft Office.
All computers offer printing. Black and white prints are fifteen cents and color prints are thirty cents.
The library offers wireless access for visitors who prefer to bring their own laptops or other web-enabled devices. The connection is available throughout the public areas of the building, including the meeting rooms.
Patrons may use the wireless network at the cafe tables by the front entrance before the library opens each morning.
The staff is currently exploring options for offering wireless printing to our patrons and hope to make this service available soon. Currently, the easiest printing option for our wireless users is to save the item to be printed to a USB flash drive and insert the drive into one of the library’s copiers.
