E-Reader Checkout

Here at the Monroe Public Library you can check out an E-Reader!  If you have ever wanted to try out an E-Reader, now is your chance.  The Library has three devices available for checkout:  the Kindle, the Sony Reader and the Nook.  Each is preloaded with books for you to enjoy.

On all of the devices,  there is the ability to change the text size so you can adjust the print for anyone.

The Kindle has a text-to-speech feature so that some books can be read to you.  It has the ability to hold PDF files as well.  The navigation menu is easy to use with the five way controller.  The Kindle also sleeps when not in use ,so a battery charge will last a long time.

The Sony Reader has a touch screen feature, but with page turning buttons on the side for easy convenience.  It also comes with a stylus in case you find it hard to navigate with your fingertips.

The Nook has a color touchscreen on the bottom of the device.  This makes for a pretty display when browsing through the e-book ibrary.  The new E Ink technology gives crisp clear images without glare.
