A Renovated Library

The renovations we need are all designed to make the library an extraordinary place—more welcoming and able to serve people in new ways that bring us all together. The Library Board of Trustees and Staff heard what the community wants, then had conceptual plans developed to reflect the community’s perspective. Monroe wants a building that will enhance downtown and provide opportunities for people of all ages, encouraging people to move here and to stay here.
The features that will be part of the planned renovations meet these criteria. They are on all three floors and include:
The total cost of these renovations is $1,500,000. A group of community volunteers is working with the Library Director and staff on the “Let’s Do Something Extraordinary for Monroe” capital campaign. The campaign is to raise private funds for the areas in the Library that really need renovating. There will be no impact on taxes. With your help, we know we can do this! |
