Let's Do Something Extraordinary For Monroe
Together, we did something extraordinary for Monroe!
Thanks to our incredible community, the Campaign for Monroe Public Library has already surpassed the goal. What an extraordinary success! We are thankful to everyone who has supported this campaign. We are proud that the community recognizes the library as a necessary part of community life, and we are grateful for the support to live out our mission into the future.
We are nearing the end of the campaign, but if you are interested in supporting the library, you still have time! The Campaign for Monroe Public Library is accepting gifts until August 20, 2021.
What’s next? We are looking forward to the renovation project! The Building Committee is hard at work, and will announce a construction date as soon as they are able.

There is something special about every town—it’s a sense of community. It is why we put down roots, why we’re proud of our hometown, and why we work together to make it better. We live in a great community—a wonderful place to live and work. But the library building does not meet these standards.
The renovations we need are all designed to make the library an extraordinary place—more welcoming and able to serve people in new ways that bring us all together. The Library Board of Trustees and Staff heard what the community wants, then had conceptual plans developed to reflect the community’s perspective. Monroe wants a building that will enhance downtown and provide opportunities for people of all ages, encouraging people to move here and to stay here.
The total goal for the "Let's Do Something Extraordinary for Monroe" capital campaign is $1,500,000. We need your help to make this happen. Please join us!
