Giving to the Library
The Monroe Public Library is funded by the taxpayers of the School District of Monroe. Although these funds help us meet our basic needs, there is always a need for additional funding and materials. Look below to see the ways in which you can help.
Ways to Give
Gifts of Money
Support your community library with a monetary gift. Gifts of money will help fund materials, programs, and projects to serve the community above and beyond what the tax-based funding can provide. You can make a monetary donation at the bottom of this page, or contact the library and speak to Suzann Holland, Library Director.
Tribute Donations
Gifts are a wonderful way to honor the memory of a loved one or to mark a special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, or graduation. An acknowledgement of the gift can be sent to the honoree.
Donor Tree
A monetary gift of $1000 or more may be recognized on our donor tree, located in the Library lobby.
Planned Giving
Recognize the Monroe Public Library with a bequest in your will or trust. You do not need to be wealthy to give a planned gift. Your gift can entwine your legacy with the Library's future growth.
Matching Gifts
Many businesses will match charitable gifts given by employees or retired employees. Consider contacting your company's personnel office to increase your giving power.
Books & Other Materials
The Library appreciates donations of gently used materials in good condition. The Library will either add your donated items to the collection or resell the items at the ongoing book sale.
