Happy Pride Month! Gay and lesbian representation in film and television has come a long way, but LGBTQ+ representation as a whole still has a long way to go. Here are examples from our shelves—some dated, some with stereotypes, some with an overwhelming focus on pain—but most with a good-natured motive to portray a true aspect of lived experience. Check one out during June or anytime. We wanted to end the year by sharing some of our favorites with you. We're always exploring books, movies, and music, new and old.
